This policy explains what personal information Vend Estates collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you create an account: your name, email address and phone number.

When you book: the dates and property, the number of guests, anything you tell us about your stay, and the record of your payment.

When you use the site: the messages you send through the platform, your reviews, and basic technical information such as your device type and the pages you open.

We do not store your full card number. Card and mobile-money details are handled by our payment provider, who processes the payment on our behalf.

WHY WE COLLECT IT

To take and confirm your booking, and to hold the dates for you.

To contact you about a booking — confirmations, reminders, changes and anything that needs your attention during a stay.

To verify your phone number or email address, so that we and our hosts know a booking is genuine.

To keep records we are required to keep, including for tax and accounting.

To improve the service, and to investigate problems, fraud or misuse.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

The host or property manager of the place you book, so that they can prepare for your stay and reach you. They receive what they need for that, not your payment details.

Our payment provider, to take payment and to process any refund.

The services that deliver our email and SMS messages.

Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal information.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. We keep account information while your account is open. If you close your account we remove what we are not required to keep.

SECURITY

Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and administrative actions on guest records are logged. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also object to our using it for a particular purpose.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details in the site footer. We may need to verify who you are before we act.

COOKIES AND SESSIONS

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. These are necessary for the site to work; we do not use advertising cookies.
